October 23+24, 2021

Phoenix Design Week is built for the community, by the community. While we are staying virtual for another year and keeping it to just a weekend, we want to be sure that PHXDW (*end) 2021 still has the inspiration, knowledge sharing, and connections that make it the premier event in Arizona for creatives. Let’s come together for one jam-packed weekend this fall to share our stories, embrace community and support one another.

PHXDW has always come to life through community collaboration. We are here for you, and want to highlight, promote and share the work of the creative community with events all over the state conceived and hosted by YOU.

This is a call for creatives to put on the following types of events:

  • Open houses/studio tours
Share your space and your work. This is a great opportunity to brag and share with the community what makes your studio special at whatever level of social distance you prefer.
  • Workshops
Have you run engaging design events, or always dreamed of doing so? Do you have skills that you’d like to share with the community? We’d love to have you involved.
  • Talks
You have valuable experience and knowledge to share. Maybe it’s the passion project that led to your freelance career. Or ways you found to be successful amid a global pandemic. Or perhaps it’s the joy you’ve found in taking a break and re-evaluating the #hustlelife. If you have stories that benefit the community, do it!
  • Other
Mural bike tour? Typography walk? What other ideas do you have?

This year, only AIGA Arizona programming will be hosted on Crowdcast. Our programs will be running on a donation-based, all-access pass structure in an attempt to reduce barriers. Recordings will also be made available after the event. We are encouraging creatives to put on and host their own events to further engage and celebrate our community. Phoenix Design Week will be helping to promote these events hosted by you. We ask that you submit the form below with all event details.

All submissions will be reviewed by the AIGA Arizona Board of Directors and a committee composed of leaders across disciplines and communities. We will review each application and provide feedback to tweak your program to make it the best it can be.

Organizer Deadlines:

  • Applications open: July 14
  • Submission deadline: August 6
  • Committee review: August 6 - 8
  • Full schedule launches: September 1
  • Phoenix Design Week (*end): October 23 + 24

Have some fun aligning that kickass idea of yours with this year’s theme of making PHXDW your own. The richness of the community has always made the week what it is–let’s celebrate that! Learn more at We can’t wait to collaborate with you.
