Vincent is an artist and developer from Tolleson. He has worked with a bunch of brands you’ve heard of but is mostly interested in his side projects—most of all in exploring where creativity can take us.
Get to know Vincent
Tell us about a project or accomplishments from the past 10 years that had a major impact on your life or career.
I think writing a song a week started a snowball effect that led me to being a breakout speaker at PHXDW.
What is your favorite color, and why?
I have this love/hate relationship with red. I’m colorblind, so I know I am missing out on red. I will say, I love how red can create lush purples and fiery oranges.
What keeps you going when you’re focused on a project? Is there a particular saying or song that gets you moving?
Music. Mostly loud punk music.
What’s your superpower, or one you wish you had?
Flight would be pretty good.
What design or career advice would you give to your younger self?
Learn some fundamentals. Experiment more.
If you were given the opportunity to see into the future, what would you want to know?
Naw. Why spoil the surprise?
How do you think design impacts your everyday life? The community?
Design is stupidly important. Design can make or break a message. Design impacts everything.
If you hadn’t ended up in the career you are in, what do you think you’d be doing?
I’d be a chef or a pilot.
Attend Vincent’s breakout “Creative Projects, or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Wall” on Saturday, October 12 at the PHXDW Evolve Design Conference.
