Philippe Starck was recently quoted saying that design is dead, that “in the future there will be no more designers. The designers of the future will be the personal coach, the gym trainer, the diet consultant.” I’m not sure if Mr. Starck was on drugs during this interview or if he’s just self-conscious about his weight, but design isn’t going anywhere. In fact, the emergence of gatherings like Phoenix Design Week confirms the healthy future of design.
