Casey Cohorst

The mythological Phoenix is such a great symbol of the city of Phoenix, why use anything else to represent Phoenix design graphically. The Phoenix is a bird that lives hundreds of years and at the end of its life bursts into flames, and rises again from its own ashes. This mythical creature is symbolic of the City of Phoenix, a city born in the heat and ashes of past civilizations. It also represents the design community within Phoenix, a new vibrant community born in the ashes of the desert and looking to take flight.
