My PHXDW poster plays with the idea of craft and design. I took elements often associated with hand crafted items, such as felt and textured paper, and used them to create a 2-D digital scene. The playful objects surrounding the poster add to the contrast of handmade versus computer aided. I see this seeming dichotomy in the crafty wares sold at Phoenix Art Walk and on a broader scheme in website communities selling handmade “designer” goods.
